I have recently downloaded the OpenOffice 1.0.3 disk image but have not installed it yet. The ReadMe says that ESP Ghostscript wil be installed if I don't already have it installed. I have ghostscript installed via fink; will that do? |

Fink tends to put its software in different locations, usually rooted at /sw instead of in the traditional install locations. If you have ghostscript installed via fink and it's accessible in /usr/local/bin, then the ghostscript installation will be skipped by the OOo installer. If it's not in that location, the OOo installer will run the ESP installer to put it there, and it shouldn't overlap with the version rooted at /sw by fink.

I'm sure all the executables were installed in /sw/bin. Should I make symlinks of every executable associated with ghostscript in /usr/local/bin? |

Do we even need Ghostscript with OS X 10.3?
The Gimp-print site suggests that we do not need it.
