Well, I'm a complete newbie to the Mac. I just bought mine two days ago, so I'm still learning.
I had no idea what X11 was, and tried installing OpenOffice. I installed it successfully and found out that I couldn't run it, didn't want to go deal with complicated X11 stuff, so I'm downloading NeoOffice now.
So, to delete OO, I just dragged the folder in "Applications" to the trash and erased it. Question is: is there anything left of OO on my iBook?
During the installation it mentioned converting fonts, and other things. I'm worried that it changed my Mac setup now. Like I said, I'm new, so be easy on me. Do I have anything to be worried about? Are all traces of OO gone? Thank you!
any converted fonts will be deleted when you delete the application itself because of where they are stored.
openoffice.org may have made preferences (if you don't have X11, i'm not sure how far into the start-up the program gets). if it did, there is information in the FAQ about how to get rid of them.
