I'd say so too. Great effort. I thought Tango was looking to have some promise, but these are already better than Tango, and there are already lots more icons. Where did these icons come from? I mean, I've seen a number of them in progs like Pages, but never all these. Are they in an Apple Developer package?

Did anyone get back to you on the icon format for 2.0 yet? I've been searching through the repository on and off but have been distracted between rebuilding computers and some other things that have come up. I don't think it's png, but I still think it's ico or some other bmp derivative. The HD with my old brandx stuff and more recent ximian patches on it is in the dead cube unfortunately.

Ed, I asumed it would be png, because that's what the icons in OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 are [in Contents/MacOS/share/config as zip files]. Or am I just way off the mark here?

Cheers

Honestly, it's probably me that's way off the mark. I lost a strong bit of reference materials recently and actually just realized my png search in the tree only turned up one wizard png since I apparently interrupted it.

I assume you're right, especially as the Ximian icons seem to be PNGs too. I'll do my best to confirm ASAP (in a "find . -name \*.png" kind of way..that's the one I thought returned nothing but turns out I cancelled for some reason...they're definitely not .bmp).

Yup, pngs seem to be fine. I wasn't finding them since my find command wasnt' following links (-L).

In OOo 2.0, I believe you can find the relevant PNGs and their filenames in the "default_images" module and the overrides in the "ooo_custom_images" module. At present, none of the image or icon modules are modified from stock by Neo (exceptions are splashscreen, about, etc.).

Looks GREAT to me. Are there enough icons to do a complete NeoOffice set?

We need Punto Mac to drop back in to answer these questions. I don't know where the iApps icons are located [is it in a Developer's Pack?]. I assume he used all all that were available. At the moment, you'd have to use them in combination with Crystal, or the default icons from NeoOffice 2, to get a complete set. That won't give consistency of course. Tango looks a bit similar and might provide a handful more, but it doesn't look like there will ever be a set of Tango icons for OpenOffice.org, so that won't help.

Sorry this took me so long to answer (tons of work!). Most of the icons come from TIFFs inside the Resource Folders inside main Apple softwares installed by the system, iWork and iLife. Some of them are from other softwares that uses Apple icons to keep the coherence in the system. The rest were photo-edited by me.
