What format are the icons in OOo cvs? At some point before 2.0 final, I want to try to make little document icons (of actual Neo document icons) for the "New foo document" toolbar buttons for the 5 modules....

I'm a bit confused, between this thread and the NeoIcon Redesign thread - will there be a NeoIconer for NeoOffice v2 anytime soon? Smile I miss my pretty icons...

Until there's a NeoIconer that lets you load something like the iApps icon set that's being worked on, you can change to one of several "pre-loaded" icon sets.

Click on menu item Tools>>Options. This will bring up a window. Under "NeoOffice", there is a subset of options labeled 'View'. From here, you can change the icon set and size. There's four options: Default , HiContrast, Industrial, and Crystal (I think Industrial is for Gnome and Crystal is for KDE). I like Crystal the best of the four options, combined with a Large icon size.

Cheers,

Thanks, I did not know how to change the icon sets.

Weird - I get Default, Automatic, Industrial, & HiContrast - but no Crystal, and it's crystal I want. I wonder if this is anything to do with my install not being completed properly? I'm going to try reinstalling and see if I get the Crystal set in my list.

*edit* Just for clarity, I force quit my original install during the 'running installer script' phase because it had taken more than 15 minutes! I've just restarted and then re-run the installer, and this time the script took only 3 minutes (on a 400MHz tibook, this). Still no Crystal in the icon sets list. Am I missing something here?

Check your package contents: Hold down Control as you click on NeoOffice, select Show package Contents, then navigate Contents/share/config: you should be in a folder containing

wizard
webcast
symbol
soffice.cfg
psetupl.xpm
psetup.xpm
javavendors.xml
images_industrial.zip
images_hicontrast.zip
images_crystal.zip
images.zip

The icons are in the zip folders. If you don't have an images_crystal folder, somehow you've lucked out. I'm never sure how this works, but if you unzipped that folder, you'd find the crystal icons as lc_ etc.
