Well, yesterday was a major rainstorm in Santa Barbara (yes, it rained for at least one day!) and the opposite side of the front has brought high winds here to SB. I could feel them on my motorcycle, so I assume theyr'e above 15MPH. As a result, I assume power lines are toppling in the canyons...which must be causing these power fluctuations downtown.
All of the Neo servers are set to auto-recover for power failure, but still in the time I've sat here meditating the lights have dimmedn and the UPS has had to fly on once or twice.
Watch out if you're doing long CVS operations or the like as, though my systems are on UPS, that doesn't mean all of the equipment between the servers and you will keep up and running if the power goes out
In unrelated news, a full backup was completed this morning and moved offsite, so there can't be that much to worry about
