This is a problem I've discovered for NeoOffice/J 0.8. On powerbooks, there's no forward-delete key, we use fn-delete (fn-backspace, but the physical key is called "delete") to accomplish this. This key combo. doesn't seem to work in NeoOffice, but pressing the ctrl-delete or opt-delete key combos. does accomplish this. Has anybody else observed this behavior? Any suggestions on how to fix it? My keyboard configuration (for NeoOffice) is set so that pressing delete means delete, so it appears that NeoOffice thinks that "the delete key" (i.e., not backspace) means pressing the ctrl-delete or opt-delete key combos. Thank you very much! Please let me know if I've confused you utterly, Apple has obfuscated things by renaming the backspace key delete.

Someone filed bug #68 a few days ago (see http://bugzilla.neooffice.org/bug.php?op=show&bugid=68).

The bug has been fixed and should be in the next test patch. I will probably post the next test patch in the next day or two so periodically check the following NeoOffice/J Testing forum topic:

great job on the Fwd-delete. My life is much easier now! As a note, it is also working with DoubleCommand's remapping of fwd-delete to shift-delete.
