When I say installer, I mean an entire 120 MB release. There is a no patch for this. How I wish there was a patch as building the entire installation and then installing NeoJ over and over again took an incredible amount of time.

Just be patient, 0.8.1 will be out soon enough.

All,

I have posted "patch-7" for NeoOffice/J 0.8. This patch is "patch-6" plus the following changes:

1. Bug #75 - Cursor does not change when positioned over cell dividers - has been fixed.

2. Bug #76 - Dimension change of spreadsheet cells doesn't change - has been fixed.

3. Hiding of the cursor during a full screen presentation now works.

4. Sound support is now enabled.

BTW, Smokey's icons are now integrated into the installer and they really look nice but they aren't in this patch since you need the installer to update the icons.

If you are interested in testing the new patch, you can download the lastest patch binaries and install them in an existing NeoOffice/J 0.8 installation using the following steps.

- If you have not already installed NeoOffice/J 0.8, download and install it from:
http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/download.php
- Download the latest patch binaries from:
http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/downloads/temp/NeoOfficeJ-0.8-patch-7.tar.gz
- Open a new terminal and execute the following commands to unzip the file:
Code:
cd <NeoJ installation directory>/NeoOfficeJ.app
sudo tar zxvf <path to downloaded *.tar.gz file>

If I don't hear about any big showstopper bugs (crashes, etc.), I will use this to get the 0.8.1 release out. So, if you have a chance, please test this patch.

The patch is 1001439 bytes in size.

When in Full screen mode the cursors stays as pointer and does not hide. Do I need to do anything to enable this or should it be hidden as soon as it enters Full screen mode.

FYI: I am at work so I am running on a dual monitor.

This hiding cursor feature is disabled by default in most presentations. To enable it, you select a slide from the tab bar, then select the Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings menu, and then unclick "Mouse pointer visible".

The mouse cursor will then disappear when the first slide shows in full screen mode.

Works great!

Thanks....Looks like it is time for 0.8.1(icons)!

Sorry for being a pain but I have been holding off on sending NeoOffice to my manger and Director here at work until icons existed.

Plus I leave my active documents on my desktop and now I can have NeoOffice/J be my default app to open them. I do not even use OOoX11 anymore I just leave it as default so it looks better because the docs have icons with it....

All,

I have posted "patch-8" for NeoOffice/J 0.8. This patch is "patch-7" plus the following changes:

1. Eliminated flicker when tooltip windows are displayed.

2. Eliminated problem where NeoJ's OpenSymbol font was not recognized by Panther until you rebooted or relogin.

I have built the NeoJ 0.8.1 binary and this patch is exactly what you will get in the NeoJ 0.8.1 release. The only thing that NeoJ 0.8.1 will have that is not in the patch is Smokey's Finder icons.

You can download the lastest patch binaries and install them in an existing NeoOffice/J 0.8 installation using the following steps.

- If you have not already installed NeoOffice/J 0.8, download and install it from:
http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/download.php
- Download the latest patch binaries from:
http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/downloads/temp/NeoOfficeJ-0.8-patch-8.tar.gz
- Open a new terminal and execute the following commands to unzip the file:
Code:
cd <NeoJ installation directory>/NeoOfficeJ.app
sudo tar zxvf <path to downloaded *.tar.gz file>

BTW, I looks like I will probably post the NeoJ 0.8.1 binary this Monday.

The patch is 1001779 bytes in size.
