The favicon.ico is now on the planamesa.com and planamesa.net sites.

Ah,

How about www.planamesa.org site? That is where the "Early Access Program" links go.

I'm not seeing it on any of the planamesa sites. Was the HTML code added too? Sample from trinity.neooffice.org

Code:
<head>
... stuff
<LINK REL="icon" href="/favicon.png" type="image/png">
</head>

planamesa.org only holds binaries. There are no pages there. planamesa.net is where the EAP downloads pages are.

A link entry is not needed for most browsers as they check for the existence of a /favicon.ico URL. However, Safari seems to be the exception and I cannot change all of the pages right now as I am in the middle of preparing for the July 1 release date.

When my page updates are done, I will add the appropriate HTML.

Edit: the favicon.ico now works in Safari for planamesa.com and planamesa.net. I just needed to have Apache give it the correct mime type.

Bless you kind Sir.

July 1st release date is much more important! Shocked Very Happy

As I can not do the wonderful coding for NeoOffice that you and Ed do - I'm left finding little things like favicon.ico codes changes. These can wait until a later time - AFTER you have worked your ... Magic! Idea

Philip ( Great Doer of ... little things? Wink )

\ Note: SeaMonkey 1.0.2 needs the HTML code to see the favicon.ico too

Whenever there's some downtime from fixing bugs (or you need to take a break from fixing bugs...), can we get the link rel for the PNG into Bugzilla's php template?

The white-bordered ico is scary Wink

Edit: Actually, it looks like there's no favicon (not the .ico nor the .png) at neooffice.org now.

I updated www.neooffice.org. However, Bugzilla is many, many files of PHP code and I don't think it is worth it for me to hunt down every code file to put the favicon.png file in. So, I've just removed the ico file instead.

It was gone for me to, now it's back (www.NeoOffice.org). Strange.

Now all that left is NeoWiki. I don't "think" that there has to be any down time to update.
Just update the default.html and copy the .png into the /images folder.

It's nice that we have time to edit such small (but very visable) items.

Now I have a ... burr to have the "NeoOffice is not JAVA" text added to the home/intro pages.

MANY THANKS TO DEVELOPERS and ALL WHO CONTRUBTED!!
(Icons, bugs found, hints and Wiki items and much MORE).
This is a GREAT community. <just a bit a ... bragging about Fora! >

Patrick,

Thanks for the updates. I "think" that if you put the favicon code in the root default file - the icons will get passed to users - and will update their bookmarks.

I can understand not going through all the PHP code and links - not worth the effort.

Tanks again.

Philip (sending cooler air to our friends in Eastern US and Europe - should arrive in 2-4 days Wink
