i have been trying to add spelling aid. i am able to do this with ooo x11, but not with neooffice/j. there seems to be a neoofficej.app folder in applications, which i can see from within the programme itself, but i am not able to find this from finder.

please assist!

I assume that you are trying to find the "share/dict/ooo" directory in which to put the Norwegian spellcheck files. This directory is in "NeoOfficeJ.app/Contents/share/dict/ooo". You can see this directory in the Finder by right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the NeoOfficeJ.app icon and selecting the "Show Contents" options.

Hi

it's the newbe again Smile

I was tryingto add my mother language spelling dictionary but no success. I've found the path: NoeOffice/J app./contents/share/dict/ooo and its files (dictionary.lst and several dictionary files aff and dic).

the language I'd like to add is Gallician, I've downloaded the files from OpenOffice.org.

But, even changing the dictionary.lst file adding DICT gl ES gl_ES and putting the .aff and .dic files into the ooo folder, I cannot select my language in Tools->Options->LanguageSettings->WritingAids. It doesn't appear, so it doesn't work.

Why? can anyone help me in his issue?

thanks very much and sorry for so many questions
