Hi,

I'm desperately trying to connect OO1.1 to mysql. I've tried JDBC and faithfully followed the instructions to place a javarc file in OO/users/config/ The testsuite works fine for JDBC/Mysql BTW. I've added the CLASSPATH in to my environment variables and run from the command line. I've also added the jar file to the classpath in OO but to no avail.

What happens is that I click opn the Tables tab and get asked for my password, which I provide. I then get returned to the datasource administrator but OO just hangs and has to be killed.

I'm running Panther on an iBook G4 with java 1.4.2_02

I've even tried ODBC but can't get that to work either (I don't have any DSN to choose)

Please help, I'm very frustrated!

Thanks,

Simon

1.0.3 GM was the last build I know where JDBC connectivity was tested. You may want to check out the X11 testing forums or dev@porting mailing lists for more informatino. The 1.1.0 release that you have is an alpha release, and I believe java connectivity in general is broken in it.

The only known build where JDBC works is 103GM.

Thanks for the information. I didn't realise 1.1 was the development version. It works perfectly apart from the database connectivity....
