|
I am having trouble opening a Word document created on a PC that I just downloaded from an email. When I try to open it, it latches onto TextEdit as opposed to NeoOffice. How do I open the document in NeoOffice so that my Word formatting is preserved?
Yes, I've already "launched" NeoOffice. But when I then click on my Word document, it reverts to TextEdit.
Thank you all so much for your help! |

Comand-click on the file in the Finder and select Open With -> NeoOffice.

And if you want to change the file association for Word documents (open all .doc files in NeoOffice), see this article in the Wiki. |

I see Patrick applies the Ctrl -> Cmd XSLT transformation for NeoHelp to his forum postings, too
It's actually Ctrl-click (or right-click if you have one of those funky Mighty Mice) to generate the context menu Or, as Samwise notes, the wiki article will tell you how to change the associations for all Word documents....
