Dear everyone,

I will be travelling from Nairobi, Kenya to Cape Town, South Africa soon. I leave on December 3rd and will return on Februari 2nd.

I started a blog at oscarvanvliet dot blogspot dot com, in case anyone feels maschistic enough to watch my vacation tales and photos from a cold and wet northern hemisphere.

Needless to say, I will not be paying much attention to Trinity in the mean time. I do wish all of you a merry Xmas and happy new year in advance Smile.

Best wishes,
Oscar

Best wishes to you on your trip, and merry Christmas and happy New Year in advance to you, too Smile

(:sigh: this seems to be the year for the world to go to Africa, but not for me Sad)

Excellent...I hope you had enjoyable travels. I've never been to Africa myself...or Asia...or South America...or Louisiana...

Heh, random thought of the day, I've been to all of those except South America.

Funny, I have never been to Lousiana or Asia Smile.

Happy to know you liked the stories. Lots of pictures with last week's set too.

Best wishes,
Oscar

I don't think most people would count my Asian travel as Asia (they think of Asia as India or China or Japan), but the Levant is indeed part of Asia Wink

I had always wondered what Victoria Falls looked like, and it occurred to me later that I'm sure I could have just poked around online for pictures, or grabbed a book, but as it turns out, the first time I saw Victoria Falls was in Oscar's pictures Smile

Learning....

Levant - part of Asia Minor and/or Near East so I guess the does indeed count. Wink
(says Wikipedia: "Categories: Extinct languages of Asia | Lists of extinct languages")

Guess I'll have to have a look at Oscar's log. Shame on me for not doing so earlier. Embarassed

Oscar,

Just finished your ... Travel Log. Very interesting and very enjoyable. Thank you very much for sharing. Very Happy
I wish that I had taken such adventures when I was (much Wink ) younger.

I think it's true that the world is getting smaller every year and we are becoming a global community. I know that I have learned so much just by being on this fora. Thanks to all my new found NeoOffice friends! Very Happy

Philip ( looking to visiting Asia, Oz, Nz, and more Wink )
