I am working on it because is the biggest problem when I import documents from WordPerfect Very Happy and there are many questions here in trinity about it.

Some questions:
1. There are two classes of hyphens:
- Soft hyphen that can be force using "command -" (with a gray highlight)
- Hyphen stricte dictu. I don't know how to force it with the keyboard.

2. For create them for a document, page or selection:
-Soft hyphen:
Go to:
Tools
Language
Hyphenation

- Hyphen stricte dictu:
Select document text or paragraph... go to Format.
Paragraph
Text flow
Hyphenation

3. If you use the soft hyphen and change the text (by example changing the size of the font) the soft hyphen will REMAIN even if the hyphen is not at least of the line.
If you use hyphen stricte dictu that phaenomenon not occurs...

4. One friend that use OOo 2.1 told me that in that version isn't possible to "find and replace" soft hyphen (copying-pasting from the document). I can do it on OOo 2.0.3 and in NeoOffice 2.0. It will be possible on NO 2.1??? Shocked There are more of 500 documents waiting me in my computer to save it as NeoO...

Thank you!

Nobody knows how to hyphenate with the keyboard (a hyphen stricte dictu)?

Sorry for the delay Rodrigo, but be patiente Confused

You can use ⌘ - (minus sign). If you check the NeoOffice help looking in "sillabazione manuale" (i guess it is "manual hypenation) it says to use ctrl - but, as you know, ctrl for us is command key.

Ok... but cmd- makes a "soft hyphen". Must to be a way of do a "hyphen". The problem comes when I try to change the text: the soft hyphen remain even if the word is not at the end of the line

Thank you

No, it does remain (as a remaninder) but it's not printed. You see that at video but if you do a preview or print your text you will not see it.
