I'd love to see a facility that splits the screen, so thst I can read a studnet assignment in the top half and then type comments in the bottom half. W**d does this - by clicking the Window tab in the top menu and then split.

Keep up the excellent work. I'm a NeoOffice n00b as i've just converted to a MacBook

Welcome to NeoOffice!

For some reason beyond my ability to understand, the OOo programmers who write the core office functionality don't have this in Writer (they did add it to Calc!). This is the sort of change that needs to be made by the OOo programmers to their core code; NeoOffice is limited to making OOo run as a native Mac app (and sometimes adding goodies like Aqua widgets).

So you should be sure to report this feature request to OOo as described here.
