I'm a very bright buy, I've used and programmed computers since I was 12 (1972), I've used and hated MS Office for many many years. I like NeoOffice, but...

The entire Chart interface must be redesigned, from creation to, in particular, editting a completed chart in place. It's hard to select components, I can't get the same contextual menu up twice in a row, and I can't easily do things like change the size of the font on the X axis.

It needs to be completely revisited, by a UI designer (not a programmer). That is, don't design it based on what's easy and logical to engineer, but rather on how people think about charts, and what they are likely to want to do with them.

This could not be a NeoOffice task but an OpenOffice.org one, and.... tada...

it's already on the way.
