Hi all,
I see there are still some little problems with the printing. I have Mac OS X 10.3.4 installed, three printers (local and network connected) and both 1.0.3 GM and 1.1.2 Final installed.
I notice two problems with 1.1.2.
1) Generic printer driver doesn't use the font I specify for the document. Whatever the font may be, it prints using one font I presume to be Arial. So, if sometimes I just click on print icon I waste the paper.
2) If I use Print dialog box to specify my printer, the right font is used, but there is another little clue. Using same OS, same printers and same paper 1.0.3 and 1.1.2 don't print the same. If I open the document created with 1.0.3 it opens well and looks like I remember it (with generic printer selected), but because I can't print using generic printer driver, I apply any of my three printers directly. And boom... the document changes a little bit and I must correct it by hand.
If I create a new document with 1.1.2 everything is OK and I have on the paper what I see on my screen. But I still can't use the Generic printer driver.

By default, there is some font substitution going on. From Start OpenOffice.org's File menu, choose Configure Printers. This opens OOo's printer admin util. Click the Generic Printer, click Properties, Font Replacement tab and edit or turn off the replacements.
I really haven't paid that much attention to my printing and can't really comment on the rest of you issues. It's possible that the printers that get auto-discovered by OOo have some sort of different settings, but I really shouldn't speculate
