I have noticed that Ed and Patrick seems to be building etc...can you guys give us some insight into what you are doing? I saw an earlier post that Patrick stated he was working on moving the codebase of Neo/J to 1.1.x....that is great. How long will that take?

Just looking for information on what you guys are up to. Not doing it to be a pain but rather because I am interested!

So far, I am just moving the NeoJ codebase up to the OOo 1.1.2 codebase. It will build and install and open, edit, and save files but it there is still a ton of work to do.

I had a week off from my contracting gig at Sun in the first week of July and spent that time working on implementing the OOo 1.1 text layout APIs. During that time, I got basic RTL and vertical text to work.

There is still lots of stuff that I need to do (e.g. the font layout is a bit rough and cursors are sometimes in the wrong place) but I will probably push out a test version in the next couple of months or so.

I would like to do it sooner, but I have a contracting gig through the end of the summer and, of course, I've got to earn a living first.

Thanks for the update (as always), Patrick!

BTW, I wanted to wish Neo/J a happy birthday! I see on its homepage that 0.0.1 was released a year ago yesterday. It seems to have been an astounding year. Thanks again for all of your work!

Right now I'm just getting it compiling and beginning to poke around aside from cursory glances. After that, hopefully bug fixing and Aqua widgets.
