Here's my effort at replacement banners for the wizards:

In case it's not obvious: the numbered banners will be replaced with a numbered banner equivalent to the example in the image, and the unnumbered banners will all be replaced with the generic banner in the image. The "curlicues" in the image are in fact a Golden Spiral within a Golden Ratio. I thought this was nicely symbolic of the concept of "automated perfection" that the wizard represents.

They're a bit sparse maybe, but IMHO a world better than the hideous crap in the OOo build.

What actions in NeoOffice would I do to bring up each of these wizards? I am integrating your latest icons and I would like to verify that these banners are making it in.

The numbered banners appear in the New Presentation Wizard (File > New > Presentation). The others I honestly have no idea - any ideas anyone?

Hmmm,

I tried to find them last night without much luck. Rolling Eyes

I did find two other banners under:
. File -> Wizards -> Document Converter &
. File -> Wizards -> Euro Converter

and the one mentioned under:
. File -> Wizards -> Presentation... ( 1, 2 and 3 - to create a blank Presentation)

Philip ( Ok, so I can't even "find" the right button Embarassed )

It's the HTML Export Wizard for Impress Presentations. In Impress:

File > Export ..., choose file format HTML, set file name & location, after Save the wizard comes up.

If you choose "From template" at 1. you'll see all 5 wizard steps.

The Euro converter banner I knew about. I thought it looked OK and since the banner replacement was a bit of a rush job I thought it was better to leave it as it is for now. The document converter I hadn't noticed - darn! Next time...

But what a wonderful use of screen real-estate that document converter banner is - from those arrows and gears I can tell exactly what it does, don't need the written explanation at all. Wink

I would not bother with these. They look pretty good as is.

I do wonder what kind of funny money the Euro banner has.

Look at this nice lady who was once on the German 5 Mark note (approx. 3.60 $).

Pictures of the Euro notes can be found here They are bridge-themed. As in trying to build bridges between the euro countries. The series was designed by an Austrian fellow, IIRC, named Robert Kalina.

Unfortunately, these replaced the Dutch Guilder, which at the time had some of the prettiest banknotes in the world. See here and here for the complete set (note that the 100 notes in the latter replaced the one in the former.

Oh well, at least the Euro is a rock-hard currency, and I don't have to exchange money when I go to Belgium, Germany, France or Italy..

I love the 250 note Smile I still dug the Swiss Franc when I was there but man, the coin change certainly added up.

For currency speculation I'd think the yuan is a reasonable gamble since it's currently tied to the dollar (not a great ROI compared to Euro) but if the government ever allows the yuan to float it'll gain in value pretty drastically, I believe.

I quite like the design of the next generation of Swiss Franc notes (I saw them in a printed newspaper, unfortunately - although by now they must be within Googlereach).

However, the selection process was a bit unfair : there was a contest, but the winner's design was discarded in favor of another one (the winning design featured a skull and crossbones symbol on the 1000-franc note Twisted Evil) ...

Yes, we all did Smile. I think this was the one that people wanted to keep most.
