Make "Recent Documents" always available

I request that "Recent Documents" be added to the "NeoOffice" menu, so that it can be used even when no documents are open. Would this be difficult?

and should be included in the next major NeoOffice release (edit - in a slightly different way: the File menu will be made available at all times, instead of moving Recent Documents to the NeoOffice menu):

No date has been announced for this release. However, you should probably not expect it this month.
