I often have a lot of sheets in one spreadsheet and it really helps to be able to color them (Excel can do this) so that it's easier to distiguish between groups of sheets.
I'm sorry, but adding features to the underlying OpenOffice.org code is beyond the scope of the NeoOffice project. I suggest you file this as a feature request with OpenOffice.org. If and when they implement it, the feature will find its way into NeoOffice.
