Smokey sent me a 256x256 version of the ship.icns using our ship.psd and I must admit that the results are dramatic in Cover Flow view.

With 256x256, we have 4 times the resolution in the image and so I do not see an jagging of the image until I expanded the Finder window to the point that the ship was 4 inches high.

I will put the new icon in the next test patch.

I was just thinking about the NeoOffice 2.2.4 release, and aside from a new, larger icon, it could also be an opportunity to include some new toolbar icons, if Daniel, Armando or another contributor have any new icons to submit…

Nothing from me. I won't have any time to think about the Akua set until July/August. Anyway I'd prefer to save my energy for a big push before 3.0 EAP. Of course Armando may feel differently...

I think 512px icons for the different types of document files would be more important than the toolbar icons for now. By "now", I mean as soon as resources are available for this Wink .
I do think the exterior appearance of the program is important though, as it is this part that makes the appeal as a "professional" app to the superficial not-yet-user.

Hi, I just want to bring this up, because I didn't like the ship and decided to create a Adobe-Style Icon for NeoOffice.

That's how it looks:

I hope you like it. Wink

Very nice - but surely NO should be in red? Smile

yeah, you are right. Laughing
But the red icon is already taken by Adobe Flash and Adobe Acrobat Reader, so I looked for something different. Wink

I think on balance I prefer the ship to a square with the word "no" in it... but keep trying!

Haha, now that's better! Hm... I still like the ship! Maybe the sail should have that nice circular image imprinted into it!
