I have tried to launch open office manually, but got the following error (the entire terminal for the attempt is copied):

Code:
James-Littles-Computer:~ jameslittle$ tcsh

tcsh: setenv: Syntax Error.
[James-Littles-Computer:~] jameslit% setenv DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH /Applications/Open

Any ideas on what the problem is with the permissions?

Thanks for any help,

James.

Can you check the permissions on "pagein" with a

ls -al /Applications/OpenOffice.org1.1.2/program/pagein

They should be 755 (rwx root, rx all others). If they're different, then you'll have to run through and perhaps fix all of the permissions. The 1.1.2 GM installer will set all the permissions correctly for its files, but other installers may not properly install the s/w for multiple users.
