When I try to launch OpenOffice I get this line

bash: /sw/bin/init.sh: No such file or directory.

Can someone tell me what is going on? And if possible, what to do to fix the problem?

After I get the above line, a message pop on the screen saying that OpenOffice cannot launch XDarwin.

I would appreciate any hints.

Best regards,
koji

If you're getting paths that start with "/sw", then chances are that you've either installed software using the Fink distribution system or, if it's not the GM build, compiled by someone using the fink system.

You may want to check your ".cshrc" file in your home directory. If you're using fink, it'll have a line like "source /sw/bin/init.csh" in it. Try commenting out or removing that line and starting OOo again. That Fink setup file will change the paths that are searched to find executables.
