I thought our other wiki editors and users might be interested to see this:

http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8566

Some background: I'm active at the OOo Community Forums, as that's where I go for Base questions when I'm stumped. (And it's where I got a lot of the answers I needed for To Base and Back Again.)

When they started up, I asked about the appropriateness of sharing links to wiki pages that answered questions raised. It was much simpler than rewriting the answers! All but one of those who responded were favorable, so I have done so when appropriate.

The post above is the first time that I've seen someone else post a link to the Neowiki. He has good things to say about the Neowiki as a whole.

As an aside, a Mac user of OOo 3.0 Beta recently reported a "can't connect to spell checker" error message. The Neowiki instructions regarding removing Cocoaspell and Spellcatcher fixed the issue.

All of the NeoWiki authors have really created a very thorough knowlege base for not only users, but those of us doing daily user support and bug evaluation.

As OOo 3.0 Beta is rolled out, the same Mac issues that we have encountered and solved are likely going to need to be relearned by all of the OOo 3.0 developers and support people and I am happy to see that our NeoWiki has that information available to anyone who needs it.
