Good idea, I thought about that after posting, so it's done now (clever stuff, this forum software).

Patrick alreayd wrote to Armando, Daniel and me about this. But each of us seems to be very busy. I've started making a list of the missing icons, but only got through Writer so far...

It would be really nice if we can get the Akua set complete for 3.0 EAP!

Best wishes,
Oscar

Guys sorry for interrupting!

But this thread seems to me most suitable - I'd like to develop an icon set for NeoOffice (not adapting free icon set).

So you're making an update for the current icons? So my offer won't beintesting or not?

Thanks

You can develop a new set, but it is one hell of a job. That icon set is huge! Also note that the set has to be free, because NeoOffice is free.

Are you sure you would not prefer to contribute to our existing set instead? I am not saying your ideas are bad, but the Akua set has been very thoroughly designed, works well in our product, and it is almost finished.

If your really want to do this, I suggest first making a few sample icons to see if it works well.

best wishes,
Oscar

Certainly, It'll be free.

I know there's a lot of work to do. But there's only one way for me - to do most of them or never touch this at all. Don't misunderstand me but right now some of them look's pretty different (not to mention the overall look of some icons: blurry edges, jammed circle shapes, missing recognition). I'm sure some of you noticed but never had time to re-make them or it meant remaking others).

If there's a specific sample icons you'd like me to do?

PS: How can i find the whole list of current icons?
PSS: Is Akua set a current set of icons? (sorry for asking but i saw some threads of developing icons not included in basic version)

OK, I don't have time to go search right now, but there should be a link to the almost complete replacement package somewhere on Trinity, maybe in this thread.

It has Akua in the filename. You can also find most of these icons in NeoOffice 2.2.5 and 3.0EAP. Some of the old icons remain from OpenOffice.org, but I do not have a comprehensive list. These old ones are some of the most jarring to me.

In any case, feel free to suggest replacements for the ones you don't like.

Best wishes,
Oscar
