OK, so there are people who use RSS. I figure once Safari 2.0 comes out I may use it more often myself Smile Anyway, after being frustrated with my own attempts over the past two months, I installed a different RSS feed. This feed covers the forums only:

http://trinity.neooffice.org/rdf-nuke.php?count=50

Note that you can change the "count" to change the number of most recent posts included in the feed.

It's validated as a good RSS feed although netnewswire doesn't like it. Perhaps someone can use it Wink

Unfortunately, it's a "global" feed in that it covers all of the forums, so it's not possible at this time to subscribe to feeds for individual forums. If it becomes more requested then I guess I'll invest more time in the rss feed support Smile

More notes. If you're interested in a particular forum, here are RSS feeds for:

NeoOffice/J Support
NeoOffice/J Testing
OpenOffice.org X11 Support
NeoOffice/J Development
Random Whatnot

Those are roughly the most trafficked forums. You can add any individual forum you want by changing the "fid" in those URLs to your desired forum ID. It will default to including 500 characters of the most recent post, but you can add a "chars" parameter to the URL to get up to 5k characters.

I have successfully used them with netnewswire after relaunching it to forcefully refresh the feed Smile

This RSS stuff is really handy - much faster access than the website, at least from England... and it all works fine in PulpFiction Lite, a freebie!

There is also an RSS feed for the headlines off the front page as well that's actually always been there:

http://trinity.neooffice.org/backend.php

I hadn't expected folks to want RSS, but anyway now I put the main forums RSS feed as well as the headlines one in a box on the left so people can find them without going to this buried topic Smile
