I've been working lately on a few 250-odd page documents, and am often searching for a single word to ensure consistency in the document.
It would be great if the find/replace window could be docked and resized (option to shrink size of text boxes) so I could have it permanently visible.
I know I could have it permanently floating, but it's quite large on my 13-inch macbook and it would be nice to be able to dock it to the side of my window along with the Navigator, which I also have docked there.
I understand this might be an Oo limitation, but just thought I'd check! Thanks.

From what I can see right now, that window is implemented as a window modal dialog within the OOo code...that's why it can't be minimized to the dock or otherwise "attached". Changing it to a floating palette rather than a window modal dialog probably is a feature request that should be filed with OOo or would require further investigation.
