When I want to decrease the font size of some text, I first select it. Then go to the font size combo box. There I find the current font size at the very top of the dropdown list. To reduce the font size, I must scroll the list up, then select the size I want.
This petty gripe falls clearly into the "petty things" that no one should sweat. But it would be a little more convenient if it were possible to display that font size dropdown with the current font size in the middle, permitting a user to simply click the dropdown and then click the new size.
Like I said, this is petty, and a symptom of my own poor work habits; there are several workarounds, among them defining a character style, or defining a keyboard shortcut. _________________ Jim Plante

If it's any help, once you have got the size dropdown showing you can just type the number you want for the font size and hit the Enter or Return key and that will choose the size.
