In Neooffice 2.5 I like very much the possibility to choose Thunderbird's address book as a data source. In the early access version of Neooffice 3 this seems to be not working.
When I choose "File/Wizards/Address Data Source" from menu, check "Other Data Source" and click on Settings on the next page and then finally select "Thunderbird Address Book" Neooffice asks me for the "Thunderbird Profile Name". When I then click the "Choose"-button I get an empty window. Also to fill in the profile location manually failed.

Thanks in advance!
Adrian

I remember testing this in one of my test builds and I got it working but now it does not work. Can you file I bug in Bugzilla about this? Meanwhile, I will start looking for when and where the Thunderbird address book support broke.

Thanks. I found the problem and it was a simple problem: NeoOffice was looking in for the address book profiles in the wrong folder. Hopefully, I will be able to post a test patch in bug 3393 later today.

Thanks a lot! The patch works fine for me. Thanks again for your very quick response.

Thunderbird 3 is in public beta right now, and you can configure it to use Apple Address Book instead of the built-in one. So NeoOffice 3 support for Thunderbird 2's address book might become a moot point soon.

I've been working with the betas and nightly builds of Thunderbird 3 and I like it a lot. I use it over IMAP with Google Gmail, by the way.

FYI. NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access 2 Patch 0 has been released with the fix for this bug. Download links to the patch and full installer are in this post.
