Hi

Not sure if this is a feature request, or something missing in 3 that was there in 2.5 (don't have 2.5 anymore so I can't look back... and I don't want to 3.0 is great).

When you want to paste the clipboard with paste special it would be great if you could do this from the right click paste option. Wondering if a paste special could be inserted there. As it is now we have to travel up to the edit menu and select.

Thanks- and sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question

The feature you describe does not exist in either NeoOffice 2.2.5 or 3.0 Early Access so this is really a feature request.

One workaround is to press the Shift-Command-V keys. That is the keyboard shortcut for the Edit :: Paste Special menu.

Unfortunately, our very limited funding and developer resources limits the current scope of the NeoOffice project to keeping a native version of OpenOffice.org running on Mac OS X and implementing new OpenOffice.org features is outside that scope.

You can file a bug in the OpenOffice.org issue tracker to get it on the radar of the core OpenOffice.org developers and if they implement your feature request, the new behavior will get included in a future release of NeoOffice:

http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html

Note : our advice is to not mention NeoOffice as mentioning NeoOffice may cause OOo volunteers to accidentally close it without actually reviewing your feature request.

I'll file with also but I'll second the request. This has bugged me about OO from day 1.

OK thanks I'll file a bug report.

Oddly enough the option is present in calc, but not in writer.

Definitely note this in your bug report. It may not help, but the fact that Calc has already implemented may push the Writer and Impress engineers to copy the Calc engineers' implementation.

OK

filed as Issue 98918

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98918

If this is like most issues I file there this will be a duplicate despite the fact that I searched several times for something similar to it.

This is a fact of life in all bug trackers with a non-trivial number of bugs Wink
