The 'check for updates' function is currently located in the 'help' menu, however, the function is not related to help. I suggest therefore that it gets moved to the 'NeoOffice' menu. In most Mac application, the function sits in the application menu anyway.

This menu item is provided by the OpenOffice.org code, so it is (nearly) impossible to move it. Patrick has, in the past, been able to duplicate certain menus into the NeoOffice menu, but I don't know how much work is involved in that.
