Hey Ed, have you been tweaking the HTML of the trinity fora? Last night and today I've been randomly seeing stray HTML on the pages, between posts, etc.

Like a </td> between posts, or a "message function button" replaced by HTML.

They seem to come and go at random and go away with a reload, so I don't know what's up. Never seen it before. Just wanted to give you a heads up (also that phpBB 2.0.11 has been released with more security fixes...!)

Hmm...thanks for the heads up. I haven't myself been tweaking the forums so something bizarre is afoot. I did change the topic names over the weekend to add in a /C, but that shouldn't have affected the PHP code.

Yeah, I went and made sure none of the PHP changed. I restarted apache to see if that might clear up any of the issues. There does seem to be a bit more load today, but I don't think that should affect the HTML generation. I'll go through the PHP a bit more tonight to see if I can get anything to fire over. I haven't seen the spurious generation myself, but can't rule out anything fishy.

I decided late, late last night that it was a Mozilla bug after seeing the same phenomenon in bugzilla.mozilla.org (oddly enough, it's only there and here that I've seen it, but there were some pretty busted checkins to Gecko recently, it seems). I meant to post back here to let you know I was barking up the wrong tree, but went to sleep instead and forgot today Sad

Sorry for the run-around.

NP at all. It actually was probably good since I saw a couple more security fixes I made while I was staring at the PHP Very Happy Please let me know if you see anything batty. I try to not break the core PHP when I do my updates. Worse comes to worse, though, i have the old server still ready to go online if things go wrong Smile
