I opened the .DOC file just fine, but nothing happens when I print (whether selecting the correct printer - HP All-in-one - or generic). If I create a new OO document and print, it works fine.

Just upgraded to Jaguar and my wife (the main .DOC user) says that a similar thing happened using Appleworks word processor.

Might not be OO related, but looking for some help.

That's odd...I've not had a problem myself yet, but my docs are very simple in nature. Check the page size. Sometimes the page size doesn't match what the printer needs. That's been the most common one I've seen. The other thing I can think of is to look at the fonts. Word likes to use "Times New Roman", "Arial", etc. and a number of other fonts that aren't always available on all printers, so the fonts need to be downloaded. There may be a problem with how we're embedding TrueType fonts in OOo PS files before sending them off to the print system.

Other then that, do you have any simple test doc that you might be able to forward along so I can try it out over here? 1.1 fixed most of the issues I had with my suite of trouble Word docs, but I never had one specifically that wouldn't print.

Did you have a reply on this one. I received a simple 1 page Word doc in Hebrew and couldn't print it. No error message is given.

I'm running OSX 10.3.6 and OO 1.1.2. I have over a Gig of RAM so memory shouldn't be the question.

Is it possible to use the "Export to PDF" option for it? If the PDF export is not working either it may be a printer configuration issue. Some folks have reported problems printing and using PDF generation unless the printer is set to the Generic Printer option instead of one of the CUPS streams (they're the printers in brackets in the list).
