We have begun preparing for the NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access Program and since we are adding a new product - NeoOffice Mobile - I think it would be a good idea to "free up" some of this site's forum list by locking the two most infrequently used forums - Mirrors and Vacations - and moving them to the Legacy/Deprecated forums group.

Does anyone think that will cause any problems?

Since the "Mirrors" forum does periodically result in offers of mirrors (I don't know how many of them actually work out), probably there should be a sticky somewhere else about "how to become a mirror" once Mirrors is closed?

Anyone wanting to leave a Vacation Notice can certainly do that in Random Whatnot, so I don't see any problem closing down VN.

Perhaps it might even be good to merge the deprecated Mirrors forum into the Fuzked Server forum and rename that one to 'Server Issues' or something..

Best wishes,
Oscar

FYI. I have moved the two forums in the Legacy/Deprecated group and posted announcements in each forum on where to post now that those two forums are locked.

Good idea. "Fuzkd Servers" was an odd forum name so I changed it to "Server Outages and Problems" and added a sticky for setting up a NeoOffice mirror in that forum. Also, since the new title does not mention mirrors, I added mirroring to forum discription.

I also unstickied the Links to Server FAQs topic in the "Server Outages and Problems" forum, since the links are long-dead Wink

Thanks for helping cleanup that forum. I have unstickied the Anonymous forum posting (unregistered users) and List of Known Hackers topics since these stickies are quite out of date.

Is there another sticky somewhere about the fact that anonymous/guest posting has been disabled? If not, is it obvious enough to everyone, or does it need another sticky?

I feel like there is one (maybe mentioning the stars, too), but I'm not sure where it is.

I think it is obvious as when you try to post and you are not logged in, you get the Trinity login page. The topic that I unstickied only mentioned that we disabled anonymous posting way at the end of that topic so I doubt that many users have been relying on any stickies to discover that we do not allow anonymous posting.
