FYI, I deleted two more spurious posts by darrenalex in threads that were over a year old.

This is getting rediculous. Since my last "you need so many posts" before you can insert links and apparently there is nearly an infinite number of spammers who are willing to spend lots of time to write spam posts, I got annoyed enough this morning to wade into Trinity's underlying phpNuke code.

After making some code changes this morning, Trinity will now prevent posting of URLs for non-donors. So far, spammers are never donors so this should by us a reprieve for at least a little while.

Edit by pluby: I just changed the code to allow valid *.neooffice.org URLs so that volunteers who are not donors can post Trinity, NeoWiki, or other links.

Smokey did notice one small hole in my current code: you can post and then add a URL in your signature. I will need to take care of this hole at some point, but right now I am swamped with preparing for the NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access release so plugging that hole will have to wait.

And if not, at least they'll be paying a tiny bit of the cost required to clean up after them Razz

Sad

Thanks, Daniel

I murdered that obvious spam post Smile. I'll leave it to Fran to disable the account.

Best wishes,
Oscar

I deleted a post by user maryjohn. It seemed to have been a compilation of a few earlier posts.

Best wishes,
Oscar

:sigh:

I've just removed a spam topic from this forum from iglobal1 (123.201.11.238 / 238-11-201-123.static.youtele.com) advertising Ukrainian BBSes. Mad
