Text is there, but NeoOffice crashed on my the first time I tried. Haven't seen that in ages. Attaching the crash log. _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

Can you reproduce the crash? If so, can you run a disk repair on your main volume and then reinstall the test patch and see if the crashing goes away?
I think that running a disk repair is a good idea as your crash indicates that the core OpenOffice.org code is unable to bootstrap itself and that usually happens when your NeoOffice installation has missing or corrupted files.
To run a disk repair on your main volume, reboot your machine and hold the Command-S keys when you reboot. When the screen display white text on a black background, type the following commands, press the Return key, and wait until your machine reboots itself after a few minutes:

I'll check this later. It happened when I something weird was going on with my iPod drive. But I will check that one too.
Thanks,

Let us know if the crashing happens again and if you can note the last few actions that you did before the next crash, that would be really helpful.
Your crash is occurring in code that we have not changed in a long time so I suspect that you have found a bug that has been there for a while and you are the first person to find it.

I'll give it a go, but I have been on Intel for the last 11 months, and I haven't seen the crash since the first time. I think it has something to do with the iPod.
Best wishes,
