| Up to just over 1GB of memory usage after about 40 minutes of heavy editing, especially of lots of embedded tables. This is on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.8 with 8GB of Ram, non-retina. |

OK. I think we might be able to conclude that most of the memory usage is not from windows or images.
One more question: does the memory usage stabilize at some point or does it continue growing past 2 GB?

That is actually good news. So let me rephrase my question. Instead of trying to get NeoOffice to get to 2 GB, maybe a better question is does NeoOffice ever use more than 2 GB of memory during a full day of usage on your Retina display machine. In other words, does memory usage stabilize at some point. If it does for you after using it Monday and Tuesday, then I will put out the fix in NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 1.
BTW, before you do the above testing, be sure to install the following test patch. While it shouldn't affect the memory leak bug that I fixed, I just want to make sure that you are using the latest code when you test:

| I used it (with your latest patch) all day yesterday and most of today. The most memory got up to was 1.2 GB. That does not mean it won't go higher, but after extensive use that is high as I saw it. I had no crashes. |

That is very good news. I think that it this point we can conclude that my fix in the latest test patch significantly reduces the likelihood of NeoOffice running out of memory. So, I will release NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 1 with the fix later today.
