This is not a Neo/J bug. It is a Finder "feature". If you copy more than a sentence from Neo/J and then, in the Finder, select the Edit -> Show Clipboard menu, you will see that the full text is in the clipboard.
The Finder "feature" is that when you paste that text into a file or folder name, Finder tries to be smart and ignores all text after the first period.
Strange. If I copy a sentence, go to finder and look the scrapbook, I see only half of the copied text selection. If I paste in thunderbird or safari, I got only half of the copied text. If I paste in lightwaytext (a little word processor) I got all the copied text!
Never mind. I see the problem. Neo/J is truncating certain text flavors. RTF (e.g. copying into TextEdit works) but unformatted text is strangely truncated.
When you are able to, can you file a bug in Bugzilla so that I remember to look at this?
No pluby, I see only half of the text in clipboard. And I copied only a period, like 5 words with no cr! Pasting, some applications get half text, other get all the text...
