here mac mini 1,44 ghz 512 mb 10.3.8, thunderbirds, itunes, ichat and neooffice opened (with a large spreadsheet opened). I ask to neooffice to open 3 simple document (one page letters), and neooffice takes around 30 seconds to open the 3 documents.


is it a 'normal' time for opening multiple files with neooffice?

If you have several applications open, Neo/J will cause a lot of disk trashing, which slows your little mac down.

I hope you mean "thrashing" which sounds bad enough Wink.

"Trashing" your HD will really piss people off...

Neo/J is getting faster but it's still probably a good idea not to be doing too many other things (having stuff open) while usinig it unless you've got gig of RAM or more.
