Hi all,
is there any possibility to get MicrosoftPublisher documents opened in NeoOffice/J? I think, this would be a "development" topic, because as far as I saw by now no filter for this does exist.

Thomas

if there is already a filter, like there was for Wordperfect, then after some testing, it may be possible.

however, if there is not already a filter, then it becomes a probable 'no'. the coders here are porting OO.o, which is a full time job, and soccer practice after work.

and the rest of us do what we can... but i don't think there are any filter people out ther...

now i could be wrong.

This is a feature that is most likely to be implemented by the "core" OpenOffice.org team (a bunch of Sun engineers) and then included in NeoOffice/J, or done by a third party.

You might check at http://oooforum.org to see if anyone is aware of such a filter already, or an issue number about it in the OpenOffice.org IssueZilla, and if not, you can file the issue yourself.

Only to get things on this question somehow complete ...
The addition of a MicrosoftPublisher filter was discussed on the OOo pages but, as far as I understood, the conclusion was there will never be one for several reasons (correct me, if I am wrong).

Best regards, Thomas
