I've tried out the latest localisation install and it doesn't appear to offer or install the UK English dictionary, etc.. These were certainly available for manual install for 1.0.1.

Yes, the UK English dictionary, hyphenation, and files are definitely available for OOo 1.0.3 and could be installed manually. Here's the dilemma...

InstallAnywhere only has one notion of "English" as a language. So right now choosing "English" from the language popup will install US English files by default, and it never gives you an option to get at the UK English files Sad It's bizarre since it does have the different variants of French and Portugese, just not english. Never noticed it before.

I'll see if I can add a second step into the English install to choose between UK and US. For the meantime, you should be able to take UK english dictionairies and .res files from another platform (or a CVS OOo build) and patch them in manually.

If you're feeling motivated, try the RC2 localization installer. I added in a check to default to "/Applications/OpenOffice.org1.0.3" if the user cancels the folder search. The installers should also handle US English, UK English, and Canadian English in terms of dictionary installs. The core UI localization appears to be the same for all of them.
