There are multiple different versions of "dlcompat" and they install slightly differently - I don't know which version the OpenOffice.org installer has.
For "dlcompat-10505X.pkg", there is no "libdl.0.dyllib", and there is "/usr/local/lib/libdl.dylib". And typically, the OpenOffice installer will put a symbolic link "libdl.0.dylib" in the <path_to_OOo_installation>/program, to point to "/usr/local/lib/libdl.dylib".
For "dlcompat-20020913-10.2.pkg", "libdl.0.dylib" is in /usr/lib, and "/usr/local/lib/libdl.dylib" is just a symbolic link to "../../lib/libdl.0.dylib".
