For those of you who need to convert WordPerfect documents to use with OOo (and who are not using NeoOffice/J, which has the WriterPerfect filter built-in), WordPerfect>OOo conversion is now available on the Mac in the form of precompiled command-line binaries (installed via the Apple Installer) and a separate, optional AppleScript "GUI" for those who aren't fond of Terminal.app
wpd2sxw converts WordPerfect 6-12 documents, most features of WordPerfect 5.x documents, and certain features of WordPerfect 4.2 and WordPerfect for Macintosh 3.0-3.5.4 (WPD3) and 3.5e (WPD4) documents.
Special thanks go to Marc Maurer and Fridrich Strba for the WordPerfect-Mac support, Fridrich Strba and Eric Hoch for helping get libwpd building on the Mac, and William and the rest of the libwpd team for, well, libwpd (and for putting up with me ).
We need more Mac users to help with libwpd (in order to expand support for document features converted from the Mac formats, among other things). If you can hack away, please join the team, but even if you can't code, there are other ways to help. See Fridrich's message in this thread for more info. (Or if you know a little bit about building OOo on the Mac and might be able to help debug why standalone WriterPerfect--the OOo file import filter--no longer builds on the Mac....)

If you're having problems building the standalone, try to link me and Fridrich up together again. I think you're just seeing a DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH issue but would need to confirm.

Fridrich's access to a Mac has been rather limited for a while, so I've been soldiering on with what debugging he can do from my logs This is where we hit a dead end. Any insight would be most appreciated!
(Of course, even if we get it to build again, I don't know that anything has changed so that it will actually work...it will be nice when 2.0 ships with integrated WrPf for all! But for the moment, those are distant issues....)
