I find only four Unicode fonts that I can use for foreign language text in an OpenOffice document, and they are not commonly used by other programs. I have over three hundred suitable unicode fonts available for Mac. Can I adapt them for OpenOffice?
If so, by what program? Where do I install them? Is there an online source for additional fonts?

Use a program called Fondu. Depending on your version it could well be included in the application. Read the accompanying manual to find out.
Of course, you also get NeoOffice which just lets you use all the normal Mac fonts and bypass this problem alltogether. _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"
