Initially, NeoOffice was used as a "codename" for an early QuickDraw+Carbon hack I had performed on top of the remnants of the Sun port of OOo to Aqua. There is an obvious intent play on words...

"Neolithic" is intended because all that was done was an example of what was to come. It's all "preliminary" to the final goal of a full native Aqua-ized port. The real killer will be the evolution this work allows to come to fruition Wink

If you don't know that it is a shorthand for Neolithic, I would expect that anyone seeing the name "NeoOffice" would automatically think "New" Office, so the name is pretty apt IMO. Wink

Unless they happened to pop up here on trinity, in which case they might think it has something to do with a movie trilogy Very Happy
