Indeed, thanks! Odd little bit it was, though; the release was two months ago now, so not exactly "new" release... Somewhere around here Ed does explain "what's up with the name"

Initially, NeoOffice was used as a "codename" for an early QuickDraw+Carbon hack I had performed on top of the remnants of the Sun port of OOo to Aqua. There is an obvious intent play on words...
"Neolithic" is intended because all that was done was an example of what was to come. It's all "preliminary" to the final goal of a full native Aqua-ized port. The real killer will be the evolution this work allows to come to fruition

If you don't know that it is a shorthand for Neolithic, I would expect that anyone seeing the name "NeoOffice" would automatically think "New" Office, so the name is pretty apt IMO. _________________ PBG4, 1.5GHz, SuperDrive, 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, 5400rpm 80GB HD, MacOS X 10.4.5

Unless they happened to pop up here on trinity, in which case they might think it has something to do with a movie trilogy
