It's possible to download new OOo1.9.130 from usual site in "contrib" directory. for example from http://ftp.stardiv.de/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/MacOSX/ as from other official mirrors.

The new package comes as *.dmg with a single OOo.app that can be drag'n'dropped to Applications directory. Localization tip i've previously posted is a bit more complicated to apply but is still possible.

People that want tgo try the italian localization package can download it from

Be aware that this M130 has no fondu support. The next Milestone for Mac OS X or the next version of M130 or however the next version of OOo for Mac OS X will be named will have basic fondu support so that users can convert their nativ OS X fonts to ttf and use them with OpenOffice.org.

Fondu is run once after the installation and the first start of OpenOffice.org.

Thanks for posting this info! For those curious, here is the release history of OpenOffice.org 2.0 so if you want to follow what changes have been made between builds.

Yes, you need X11, which you can get off of your OS install disk if it's not already installed in /Applications/Utilities. As mav_eric stated above, m130 (second build) and later will have fondu support built in to convert your Mac fonts to a format that is useable for OOo.

(For earlier builds, you'll have to download fondu and convert your fonts manually. Earlier builds also did not always ship with a launcher app).
