You are forgiven...

However, with the release of "DOOM - the Movie" are there any DOOM engines for the Mac? I had the program running on Linux (actually it was QuakeII) but I understand that it is not a great distance to get to the Mac.
I would like to get re-acquainted with "Pinkie" and the rest of the Doom gang.

Thanks.

Run a search for Doom at www.versiontracker.com

FWIW, Doom 3 is available on the Mac, though I wouldn't recommend it. Great graphics and aural effects and all, but terrible, terrible AI lets it down really badly.

Just remember that every machine has its purpose. It is no sin Smile

Variety is the spice of life. For example, in the back room here right now:

    - 8100/110
    - 8600/G4 400
    - BeBox dual 603/66
    - NeXTCube Turbo
    - Dell dual P3/400 (trinity)
    - AMD K63/400 frankenstein (old cvs)
    - P1/133 (old trinity)
    - HP C3700 (new cvs)
    - G4 Cube 1GHz
    - Indy

There are some more in boxes, one running in the kitchen, the laptop's in the living room right now with the //e so they don't count, another in the shed...not that I'm an addict or anything...but AT&T Unix machines with 5 1/4 floppy drives are just so sexy...

HP-UX has its moments...it still disturbs me that an OS requires recompiling the kernel so many times. SAM is a wonderful thing, though.

Ah, I forgot about SAM. Yes, it is a great help when you need it.

Well, personally I was more impressed with the quad core PowerMacs..

I agree that Quake is here for me. I started with Wolfenstein and then worked through Doom, Doom II, Quake and Quake II. I think that I will not try to get to QuakeIII or IV.
