Hello, just a quick question ask -

I have had trouble loading MacOS X X11 software, so I went to the troubleshooting page. I saw the FAQ that said
"OpenOffice.org launches, but I never see the splashscreen or any error dialogs from Start OOo." - This sounded like my problem

I tried looking for the README file in the .dmg of Open Office and its not there.
Basically, I want to know, as the answer to the FAQ says, how to load the application in Terminal.
Cheers
Dale

there is no read me. i've started one (you can find it and a FAQ in this forum)

you cannot start the program via terminal. you can only run the program through x11. if x11 is giving you heartache, you should try to re-install it. it will be on your tiger dvd (or panther cd, depending on your OS).

if nothing works, there is also neooffice, which does not need x11 (it is openoffice.org 1.1.4)
