I am running OOo on my eMac /Tiger combination (10.4.2) and using Calc to set up tables for geanological transcribing - 26 columns and unlimited rows. Autocorrect keeps putting capital letters at the start of individual words in given columns, and even captalises single letters in other columns. I cannot find any way either of turning off this particular annoying action or turning off Autocorrect altogether. I would be most grateful if anyone might have any ideas on this?

Hi Bernard
In the menu, Tools-AutoCorrect then in the Options tab, turn off anything you don't want happening (such as Capitalize first letter of every sentence), and in the Word Completion tab, turn off Enable Word Completion to stop auto-completion of words.

Additionally: You may completely deactivate AutoFormat for the current document via the menu entry Format -> AutoFormat -> While Typing
