I tried several download links to get to a OO 2.0 version for MAC X11
but they all seemed to have been taken down.
Anyone know why? ... and how to get OO 2.0 for MAC now?
Thanks, Thomas |

Very Strange.
I just went to the Openoffice.org site and tried to download the 2.x version for the Mac. Lots of sites listed but all the USA sites and the other 4-5 I checked all returned a directory or file not found (Belgium HTTP Scarlet: The requested URL /pub/openoffice/contrib/rc/2.0.0rc3/OOo_2.0.0rc3_051016_MacosxPPC_install.dmg was not found on this server.).
Maybe RC3 is being updated and/or replaced?

EDIT: seems Brazil FTP Pontifìcia Universidade Catòlica do Paranà is working for English version.... |

i know they are working on RC5 right now, but i would hope that RC3 would stay active (since RC5 is not yet availble for download)...
will ask the mailing list. |

Answer on the Mailing list, but there are now available four languages for rc5 and I finally made it to the site maintained by Maho Nakata and it has quite a few. It also appears that the offical OpenOffice.org site removed all of the releases except one for solver for Linux.

Thanks for the replies! however, ...
... I'm not on the mailing list.
Could anyone repost the answer here ? Thanks!
when is the English version of "rc5" or "final" expected to be available?
(I'm a bit under time pressure since I manage a couple of dozen people
who are waiting to start working with OO 2.0)
Thanks, Thomas |

The en-US, de, fr and ja versions of 2.0.1rc5 are available from OpenOffice.org. However, only the fr version was tested. In other words, use these at your own risk and PLEASE report any problems through the IssueZilla at OpenOffice.org.
You may also be able to find 2.0 final release versions on the same site.
